About Fiona Goldman
If you’re feeling that you need to get something out, need to say things to all sorts of people, need to tell someone about something that you’ll find it difficult to talk about or just want to share events of your life with someone, it can be very helpful to speak with a counsellor. Good counselling will be directed by you; you are the one who knows the problems, and deep inside yourself, you also know the best way to proceed. Often, we lose our way, and feel confused, unable to find that best way and sometimes, talking to a counsellor can help you to find it.
I am an integrative counsellor – that means I have been trained in various different methods, and always keeping you and your needs at the centre of the counselling, I will work together with you in a way that suits your needs.
It is important in counselling to work with the right counsellor for you; someone you get on with well, who will feel safe, and who may challenge you to look at things from a different perspective. Because this relationship is so important to a successful counselling process, I offer a free first session. This should be enough time for you to know if I am a good counsellor for you to work with. If so, we can start working together, and if not, I may be able to recommend someone else who is better suited to your needs.
Along with my private practice, I have experience of counselling in a National Health (IAPT) service in Trafford, and in a men’s prison and a background that includes working in midwifery and alternative therapy.
