About Sue Barrett Counselling & Psychotherapy
Life can overwhelm us all at times and there are some things that we need help and support with. As a fully trained and experienced counsellor I can offer you the assistance you may need through these times and together we will explore what has brought you to the place you now find yourself in. I can offer you a confidential and safe environment in which to speak freely and openly about your life experiences and feelings, secure in the knowledge that together we will endeavour to work towards developing a greater understanding of yourself and the difficulties that you are now encountering.
I am aware of how difficult it may feel to approach a counsellor and of the anxiety that it can evoke within you, and so please be assured that I have an understanding of this when you make your initial contact with me.
I am a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor and I have worked for several years at Redhill Counselling Centre, seeing clients with a wide range of problems, which include depression, anxiety, relationship problems, bereavement, sexual abuse etc. I have previously worked at an Independent Mental Health hospital for a number of years, doing both individual and group work.
Early morning from (7am), evening and weekend appointments are available.
I am happy to offer both short term or long term counselling depending upon the individual needs of the client.
