About Liberate Counselling

About Me
I am a  counsellor, specialising in anxiety and relationship problems. I am a member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy). I work with adult clients as a counsellor in an NHS setting, where I have over three years’ experience and also provide private face to face and online counselling.

I came to work in counselling after ten years’ experience of supporting adults with learning disabilities where I learned how helpful it is to get rid of prejudice and volunteering as a call-taker on a local helpline where I became more of a “listener”.

In counselling, I do not analyse or offer advice but offer a listening ear so that you can tell your story as you see it before we explore deeper.

I believe that it is natural for us to be on a journey through this life in a world that offers little in understanding, but at times we become lost and that journey temporarily stops. At such times we experience personal pain associated with this. That pain is also a natural prompt: an opportunity for us to take a look at ourselves with the support of a counsellor so that we might re-discover who we are and then we can resume life’s journey.

The Service
