About Bristol & North Somerset Counselling
Hi, I am Glenis Eden.
About me – I am a highly experienced and qualified professional counsellor, psychotherapist, coach, supervisor and mindfulness meditation trainer, established 1988. I offer confidential & caring support to individuals, couples, counsellors, trainees and organisations. Please see my website www.bristolcounselling.org.uk tel 07941348354 / 01275 871420
Who I work with – I have worked with and continue to welcome people of all ages and cultures for therapy. Counsellors, therapists, and other professionals, for example teachers, clergy and other healthcare professionals have come to sessions with me for clinical supervision and for their own personal counselling.
Some people come to look at their own issues such as unhappiness, stress, generalised anxiety disorders, weight issues, sleeping problems or pain. Many people need support regarding relationship difficulties for example – affairs, betrayal, lack of trust, divorce, separation and sadness. Some people are experiencing depression, often personal or when they are experiencing workplace issues, bullying and abuse. Others attend counselling or coaching at a time of loss or change. Perhaps experencing bereavement, a time of loss or change, post natal depression, child/ family issues, empty nest syndrome or a mid-life crisis. They seek a therapist, counsellor, psychotherapist or a coach who is an impartial person to speak with.
Often we look at how a person may be stuck. We can explore why and how they are sad, who or what is stopping them from feeling happy and moving forward with their lives. Sometimes people do not know where they want to go. They know they have been experiencing lots of different emotions – related possibly to denial, fear, loneliness, guilt, rejection, self worth, anger, trust, love and sexuality. If you or someone you know are experiencing any of these issues, I can teach you or both of you to work through them, supporting you to rebuild your life and relationships.
At times in my life I have needed my own counselling support and understand what it is like to take those first, often hesitant steps into asking for outside help. It can be a very confusing time for you – deciding how to filter through the vast amount of options that are available in the therapeutic world today.
Do not hesitate to contact me for a brief chat. If I am unable to support you I can perhaps recommend a way forward for you through other therapy contacts. I use an integrative style of counselling and tailor my work to suit your individual requirements.
