Description:

We each face difficult and distressing times in our life; it can be hard to know which way to turn in order to reach some support.

I can provide a safe place in which you may discuss your thoughts and feelings with somebody that is empathic, won\'t judge you and will keep everything that you say confidential.

There are no check lists as to what is suitable to bring; you may be struggling with anxiety, a current difficulty, loss or change. It may be that you\'re unsure as to what is causing you to feel a sense of unease, unhappiness and dissatisfaction with life.

Anything that you wish to explore and understand is suitable to bring to counselling.

My aim is to work with you, get to know you and together reach an understanding of your struggle.

We can explore your ways of responding to your self and situation, look at what has been helping you and what is serving you no purpose. Through reaching a better understanding we can look at areas in which you may wish to make changes in order to ease distress, reach some peace and improve your day to day life and emotional well being.

As an integrative therapist I am able to use several schools of thought in order to adapt to your needs.

I offer long and short term counselling to individual adults- I am located rurally in Drax, between Selby and Goole. My consulting room is very comfortable and welcoming with private parking offering a discreet and personal service.

In order to help with your decision I offer a free 30 minute session in which we can meet, gather a sense of each other and determine whether counselling and I as a counsellor can be of help to you.

Please do contact me if you would like to arrange our first meeting.
