Welcome to South Lincolnshire and Peterborough Counselling.  My name is Angela Coulson.  I am an experienced, professional and ethical Counsellor having trained at Cambridge University, Institute of Continuing Education.  My background is of working in the NHS since 1978 and having witnessed emotional distress in patients and relatives dealing with serious illness, terminal illness and breavement I decided to learn how to listen, to offer help and support. This led me to train as a Counsellor.  Counselling and personal development have been a part of my life for twenty years.  I qualified in 2007.

I thoroughly enjoy my work as a Counsellor, it is my passion and I am always struck by what a privilege it is to work with the many varied clients I see in my practice.  I draw on my own personal experience, extensive training and continue professional development.

I have a wide range of experience of working with young people in an Educational setting, adults referred from Community Mental Health Services, work in a Primary Care Setting (GP Practice) including working with the elderly.  I currently work in Primary Care and run my own practice in South Lincolnshire and Peterborough.  I also work with clients through Employee Assistance Programmes offering brief therapy for employees.

I am a member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to BACP Code of Ethics.

I undertake regular, ongoing Clinical Supervision of my work in line with BACP guidelines.

I have an up to date Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) Certificate – number 001481251269
