About Katie Ellis – Dip. Couns, BSc (Hons), MBACP – KJE Counselling
I offer one to one therapy sessions and work in a relational way based around warmth, empathy and understanding. I believe that our relationship is extremely important as a secure platform for self-exploration and self-acceptance. As a humanistic integrative therapist, I am able to adapt to your needs and provide support which suits you as an individual, drawing from a range of therapeutic approaches to make your experience as unique as you are.
I am experienced in working with individuals who are survivors of rape, sexual violence and historical abuse, plus pre-trial therapy for those seeking perpetrator convictions. This includes working with a variety of mental health diagnoses, self harm, low self esteem and attachment issues. I also have experience working with young people aged 16-21 on a range of concerns including body issues, anxiety and panic attacks.
Whether you require short term therapy for a current concern or long term support for an ongoing issue, please contact me to arrange a free 30 minute introductory meeting where we can explore what you hope to achieve from our sessions. If we both feel that I am the right counsellor for you, we will arrange a time to meet on a weekly basis.
