Christina Hutchings Counselling & Psychotherapy

I am a qualified and experienced Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I am a Registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with a variety of issues including: anxiety, depression, work related stress, relationships, loss and trauma. I use many techniques including CBT, to help you explore your difficulties and emotions, gain insight and clarity on your situation and find a positive way forward. I work with adults and children and have practice rooms in Morchard Bishop, Crediton and Exeter. I offer a reduced rate no obligation one hour initial session. In addition, I am also a qualified Supervisor and offer Supervision to trainee and qualified Counsellors and other Health Professionals.

Since 2001, through my work with the NHS and several charities including Age Concern, Exeter Homeless Action Group and Journey, a low cost Counselling Service, I have supported individuals, children and families with mental health issues, using CBT, play and music therapies. I am also qualified in Gestalt and Transactional Analysis to an advanced level.

I offer a safe, non-judgemental and confidential space for you to explore aspects of your life which have been challenging or confusing. You may want to make changes in how you respond to others or gain clarity. Sharing my insights and empathy, I would develop a therapeutic relationship, where you feel comfortable to explore your difficulties and find hope.

I have a current Enhanced DBS Check (formerly CRB).  I am registered with the Information Commissioner’s office (ICO).  As a Registered member of the BACP, I work within their Ethical Framework and have regular supervision.
