My name is Jackie and I'm a qualified Psychodynamic Counsellor / Psychotherapist. I have worked within the caring professions for over 20 years and feel passionate about helping people to realise their 'life' potential and in doing so improve their overall well - being, mental health and relationships, with themselves and others.
I have a Diploma in Counselling Practice and I'm a Registered Member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists (BACP). I'm committed to promoting ethical practice and I adhere to the BACP's EthicaI Framework. I provide a caring and confidential space where you can talk over problems and think about ways to approach them. Whether you are experiencing new issues, on - going problems or difficulties relating to the past, you are welcome to get in touch.
My own personal experience of counselling was life changing. I made a decision to get help after many years of struggling to break the cycle of unhealthy patterns which led to unhealthy relationships. This felt uncomfortable and scary but I needed help to understand what was going on, unravel it and find clarity. The counselling process helped me to reconnect with myself after years of feeling untethered, adrift and disconnected. This has had a profound effect on my relationships and overall well - being. My experience inspired me to train as a counsellor and in doing so, help others to explore, manage and overcome the issues that life presents us with.
