About Zara Eadie Counselling | Therapy

Hello i’m Zara, an intuitive, warm and experienced counsellor/therapist working from my comfortable therapy room in Lancing, West Sussex. When you are at your most emotionally fragile, therapy can really support you through this time; taking precious time out to attend to your emotional and psychological wellbeing.

I can offer you a safe space in which to discuss your feelings and issues concerning you, help you understand those feelings and yourself, as well as look at the ways in which past experiences may have shaped your responses. Tending to the bodies’ inner capacity for Knowing helps you make conscious and wiser choices as well as learning to trust yourself.

Sometimes it is not easy to be in relationship to others, whether loved ones or even colleagues. More and more people are seeking somebody to really hear and affirm them, as well as to truly care about them and their feelings. My therapy is always based in a real, genuine relationship, that, although is professional and with boundaries, is none-the-less warm, real and respectful.

As an integrative practitioner, I am informed by person centered, psychodynamic and existential models. I have a wide range of experience which includes working with adults, adolescents and children aged 12 upwards for the Youth Counselling Service, on behalf of the NHS. I have worked for a local drug and alcohol charity and currently volunteer alongside my private practice, working with people have been through serious trauma, who may suffer post traumatic stress disorder or dissociative disorder.

The benefits of therapy are extensive; not least it can help make sense of your thoughts, feelings and behaviour, it can help you accept parts of yourself, to heal past pain or trauma and to better connect you to yourself and others. It is also a place to explore what prevents you from being your happiest, what you can let go of and what boundaries you might benefit from setting in place.

I am a proud member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists.

Working from home, I have lower overheads, therefore sessions cost £45 / 50 minute session and there are a few concessionary appointments available. It s natural to feel unsure and nervous about speaking to a stranger for the first time. The first session will involve gathering contact details and exploring your reasons for seeking therapy at this time. Contact begin your journey of self discovery and positive change.
