About Kim Bassiner-Traicos

I am a highly experienced and versatile Psychotherapist and Supervisor working in private practice.  I offer a humanistic based but eclectic approach to psychotherapy in a comfortable and safe practice situated in Hemingford Grey, Cambridgeshire.

I  have a Masters degree in Counselling Psychology (UKZN, 1999) in South Africa where I worked across a number of settings and in private practice as a psychologist. In the UK I am a Member of the BACP (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) and am bound by their ethical framework. I have supervised interns and qualified psychologists in South Africa and in the UK supervised counsellors and psychotherapists from novice to highly experienced. My ethos towards supervision is based on ethics and the collaborative supervisory relationship to allow the supervised a creative and affirming experience.

Finding a psychotherapist and starting therapy can be difficult. This is a process that should directed by you and you should feel in control.

I believe that the core therapeutic relationship is of utmost importance.  This means providing an emotionally safe and confidential place to explore your thoughts, feeling and experiences.

The content of therapy is determined by the client. Therapy takes place weekly for 50 to 60 minutes. I charge £50 pounds for a session and payment is made at the end of the session. I reserve the right to charge for sessions that are not cancelled 24 hours in advance.
I have working agreement on my website that outlines the expectations of therapy for therapist and client.
For supervision I charge 70 pounds for and hour and a half. I am negotiable if the practitioner is on placement or working for a charity.
I have sessions available on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 9:00, 10:30, 12:00 and 13:30
I am available at other times on discussion.
