My initial introduction to counselling was as a Samaritan, a role I enjoyed for over six years, working both on the telephone and face to face with clients. I then gained a Diploma and Foundation Degree in Integrative Counselling, I have since specialised in bereavement, eating disorders, CBT (cognative behavioural therapy), and anger mangement.
Presently I work at a GP’s surgery where I am referred clients with a wide range of issues. I also work for Woking and Sam Beare Hospices counselling clients who are bereaved and pre-bereaved.
My personal approach (whatever the issue), is to use a supportive relationship to enable you to explore how you are feeling, and a combination of therapeutic approaches ensuring that the therapy is tailored to you
My private work is based in The Practice which is situated in Oatlands Village, Weybridge.
I am a member of the BACP and as such am bound by their ethical framework.
