I am a fully qualified, accredited, registered and insured counsellor and psychotherapist. In our time together, I provide a warm, non-judgemental and grounded presence, to enable you to feel at ease in a respectful and confidential space.
As a humanistic and integrative therapist, I recognise your individuality in a holistic and positive sense, together with your ability to grow. I also believe how acknowledging a painful and difficult past allows understanding and repair in the present for a more fulfilling life. For foundation, I have faith in the healing therapeutic relationship we can create together.
As a couples and relationship counsellor, I apply the same principles, ensuring fairness and equality for you both to be heard. This enables awareness and a clearer way forward for how you see yourself and each other in your relationship.
I offer a free initial session, where we can meet and look at your needs. This friendly, no obligation meeting also gives us the opportunity to decide if we can work together for your best interests.
I work with male and female clients aged 18 and above.
Gaining my degree at The Sherwood Psychotherapy Training Institute, Nottingham provided personal and professional development through my own extensive therapy and supervision, to ensure safe and ethical practice.
Previous work with Mind included a wide range of difficulties, with both male and female clients of a diverse age range; I currently practice within a local organisation, with male survivors of sexual abuse.
In line with my professional requirements, I attend regular supervision to maintain a high level of practice and attend Continuing Professional Development (CPD) training days on a variety of subjects.
