Welcome …..to Essex Psychotherapy and Counselling. My name is Mic Austen. I am an accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist. Many of my clients suffer feelings of depression, anxiety and stress. I work with Couples and Individuals suffering from phobias, all forms of abuse, relationship problems, bereavement and loss of any kind and many other problems. I work with many different and varied issues from: phobias, depression, anxiety, fears and stress. I believe that some of our feelings are are caused by events in our lives, past and present – such as abuse, bereavement, family relationships, work, etc. Sometimes we don’t even know why we feel the way we do – we just know something is not right. My job is to help you heal in the way that is right for you. I work ‘integratively’ which means that I use a number of different methods to help you in the best way for you: EMDR, Brainspotting, psychodynamic, transpersonal, person-centred, Imago Relationship Therapy, etc.
