ONLINE COUNSELLING & EMDR THERAPY
Working via Zoom & Telephone

I am a Senior Accredited Counsellor (BACP & NCPS) and an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner with over 20 years’ experience working across private practice, educational, NHS, forensic, probation, prison, and community settings.

I provide a warm, collaborative, neurodiversity-affirming approach to therapy, working with adults, young people, couples, students, professionals, and individuals experiencing complex emotional or psychological difficulties. Sessions are available remotely via Zoom, Microsoft Teams, or telephone.

My practice is grounded in respect for individual experience, recognising that no single therapeutic model fits everyone. I work flexibly and adaptively, drawing on systemic, integrative, CBT, EMDR, compassion-focused, attachment-informed, psychodynamic, existential, ACT, DBT, and trauma-informed approaches to meet each client’s unique needs.

As someone with lived experience of ADHD, I have a strong understanding of the strengths and challenges associated with neurodivergence, including autism, ADHD, dyslexia, emotional regulation difficulties, masking, burnout, relationship challenges, executive functioning difficulties, and feelings of marginalisation or difference.

I have extensive experience supporting clients with:

• Trauma and PTSD
• Anxiety and panic
• Depression and low self-esteem
• ADHD and neurodivergence
• Relationship difficulties
• Bereavement and complex grief
• Emotional regulation difficulties
• Substance misuse and addiction
• Eating disorders
• Shame and attachment trauma
• Stress and burnout
• Risk, self-harm, and suicidal thoughts
• Workplace and educational pressures

I am an EMDR Europe Accredited Practitioner with specialist additional training in:

• Attachment-informed EMDR
• Compassion-focused EMDR
• Neurodiversity-adapted EMDR
• EMDR and suicidality
• Advanced EMDR tools and techniques
• EMDR for chronic pain
• Moral injury and shame-based trauma

Alongside private practice, I have worked within NHS drug and alcohol services, eating disorder services, probation and prison settings, Race Equality services, and with young offenders presenting with trauma, abuse histories, emotional dysregulation, and neurodivergent needs.

My therapeutic style is relational, practical, and collaborative. I adapt sessions to suit individual communication styles and sensory or processing needs, including structured approaches, visual aids, pacing adjustments, and flexible ways of working that support emotional safety and engagement.

In addition to counselling and psychotherapy, I am also:

• A qualified Clinical Supervisor
• An experienced counselling tutor and workshop facilitator
• A former counselling course leader
• Experienced in delivering psychoeducational and therapeutic groups
• Skilled in risk assessment and collaborative safety planning

Qualifications include:
