Moor Allerton is an area of Leeds, West Yorkshire, England. The area falls within the Alwoodley ward of the Leeds Municipal Council. The area is situated in North Leeds, near to King Lane and the Leeds Outer Ring Road. The area is mainly made up of 1950s/60s housing as well as a proportion of modern housing. In the 1990s much of the area's Shopping Centre was rebuilt. It now has a large Sainsbury's, a Homebase, several other retailers, a library and a public house called The Penny Fun. The centre has previously had a Jones of Oakwood and a Burger King. The earlier part of the centre was opened by Mr Arthur Craven on 5 March 1982.
