As an Accredited BACP registered Counsellor, I help individuals to face personal and emotional issues that are adversely affecting their lives. I provide both short and long term counselling to couples and individuals over 18 years old. I work from a peaceful, comfortable and private consulting room in the centre of Salisbury.
I offer a warm, supportive, non-judgemental and confidential service. Counselling is a very personal process and every client is unique. I am committed to working with every individual in a way that is tailored to his or her individual therapeutic needs. As an Integrative Humanistic Counsellor, I draw on a selection of theories to support my work. I believe that the relationship that is created between a client and their therapist is crucial and it plays a significant part in the counselling process.
In life there are occasions when we feel low or trapped in a situation that feels too overwhelming. At times like this it can be helpful to talk to an independent Counsellor as you can talk about yourself in a way that you often can’t do with family and friends. Therapy provides you a confidential, safe and non-judgemental space talk about yourself, your life and anything that maybe confusing, painful or uncomfortable. The structure of therapy means you have a place and time each week that is just for you, to reflect on whatever you choose.
We are all affected by life’s journey and often have deep-rooted, painful issues that can be limiting us today. I will work with you to identify and understand your various concerns and the nature of your difficulties, looking at new ways of approaching those difficulties to help make changes or to look at alternate ways of relating.
I fully appreciate that the counselling process can be a challenging but also positive experience for those wanting to increase their understanding of themselves, develop their self-awareness and their place in the world.
