I am Leah Lowe, a fully qualified Counsellor & Psychotherapist. I am also a registered member of the British Association for Counselling & Psychotherapy (BACP). I practice ethically within a confidential and safe setting. I offer counselling to adults and children.
I work in a way that offers warmth, empathy and integrity, believing that the therapeutic relationship between the client and counsellor is paramount to the counselling process. I provide a respectful, supportive relationship that encourages and nurtures personal growth. You will be accepted as yourself and can express your true thoughts and emotions without judgement. I offer a non-directive approach to counselling, providing you with the freedom to explore what you wish at a pace that is comfortable for you.
My counselling sessions are tailored to meet the needs of each individual client. I draw upon a range of techniques and approaches to support you. It is important that we explore your thoughts and emotions in a way that works for you. I will always seek your consent and collaboration in discovering what works best for you.
In addition to private practice, I have worked as a Counsellor with Manchester Rape Crisis and within the prison service.
I have supported individuals experiencing a wide range of difficulties including:
Abuse (sexual, physical and emotional)
Bereavement & loss
Loss of purpose
This is not an exhaustive list but it should hopefully provide you with some insight into the areas that I can support you with.
People often wonder how long they will need to come to counselling for. It is entirely up to you, there are no constraints on the number or sessions that you have. Some people come to counselling for a few weeks while others prefer the support for longer.
My fees per session and are charged at:
£45 per 55 minute session
£40 per 55 minute session (Students)
Payment can be made by cash during the session or by a direct bank transfer in advance of sessions.
