About Counselling for Change

Honest, pro-active, compassionate, listening and sharing, being real, using metaphor and humour, effective, atheist, gender positive, re-framing, insightful, intuitive, ethical and creative. If that sounds like the kind of counsellor you’re looking for, give me a call.

Having very varied work experience, divorced, bereaved, a Father and Step-Father and having got over my own depression and anxiety. So whilst I’ve trained as a counsellor, I remain very down to earth.

Counselling is a bit strange isn’t it? You to go to see this guy who is a complete stranger and tell him all your most personal problems. It’s like making a new ‘friend’ only I am a single use friend, where because you know you’ll never see me again after your work is finished, you can tell me anything.

I believe the best person to help someone who is troubled is someone who has known trouble and got through it, as I have. There are a bunch of theories out there on how to do counselling, and some of them are very helpful and I will use them if appropriate, but the most important thing to me is TLC.

Taking the first step can be the hardest thing you will do. If you would like to find out a bit more about what counselling can offer you, call 07796 385474, or email to book a free 30 minute telephone discussion to enable you to decide if I am the right counsellor for you
