I offer confidential, person-centred counselling in a private, supportive and comfortable environment at Bolster Moor, Huddersfield. I am fully qualified with the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and practice following their Ethical Framework
I value individuality, honesty, integrity, meaningful relationships and empowering people to find their own path. I can sit with people in distress and chaos and give them the safety and the space they need to explore past or present difficulties and help them to make the changes they wish to make. I don’t judge but provide a confidential environment where you can learn to deal with past or present difficulties and move forward into a more fulfilling life.
I have 15 years’ experience of working in mental health, for Women’s Aid, homelessness charities and with individuals with disabilities. I have 14 years’ experience of teaching health and social care, and counselling in a further education environment. My counselling experience includes working for a voluntary counselling agency, Samaritans, and for Calderdale Women’s Centre. I currently work in private practice from my home, as well as teaching counselling. I work using a person-centred integrative approach which is helpful for anyone experiencing emotional difficulties. I specialise in anxiety, depression, domestic violence, abuse, stress, bereavement, childhood issues, and low self-esteem and confidence.
