About Dr. Jo Seely
I am a Clinical Psychologist, an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist and Behavioural Couple Therapist. I am also an experienced Clinical Supervisor of other Psychological Therapists.
With twenty years experience of practice in the NHS and privately, I have worked in a variety of settings and have had the privilege of meeting people from all walks of life. I have supported them, using evidence-based psychological therapy, to overcome mental health difficulties ranging from mild to severe.
The majority of my experience in applying psychological theory has been with adults and young adults. The types of difficulties I have helped people overcome have included: stress, depression, anxiety disorders (e.g. panic, worry, phobias, health anxiety, social anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and post-traumatic stress disorder) low self-esteem, anger, experiences of abuse, relationship difficulties, self-injury, bipolar disorder and psychosis. Research indicates that Cognitive-Behaviour Therapy (CBT) is very effective for many of these mental health problems.
I am registered with the Health and Care Professions Council. I am also a chartered member of the British Psychological Society and an accredited Cognitive Behavioural Therapist with the British Association for Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies.
I am registered with most major private health insurers, including Bupa, AXA PPP, Aviva, Healix, Allianz Partners, PruHealth, Cigna, Simply Health and WPA. Please contact me for information about my fees.
I am currently available for appointments Monday to Saturday, online (via Zoom or Skype) or telephone.
