Marian Jenkins, Relationship Counsellor

As an older counsellor I have had very many relationships, good, bad and indifferent. Some very long-term and others very short. All this, together with my training and decades of varied life experiences mean that I can bring a wealth of understanding to counselling sessions. We all live in a network of relationships, in family, with friends and even with our boss! In addition life can serve up shocks and disappointments  causing stress and anxiety to us. There’s not much that will come as a surprise to me! In your sessions we will work together in a relaxed, accepting and confidential atmosphere, to enable you to better understand your needs and emotions and to help you to develop skills and understanding that will enable you to move on.

I have been training for 5 years and practising for 3.

My major qualification is BSc (Honours) in Systemic counselling,an approach that is uniquely suited for use in families, couples and relationship work,as it focuses on power and interactions between people.

I also have training in Anger Management, Anxiety/Depression and problems with low self-esteem or lack of confidence.

I offer a free 40 minute consultation to start and following sessions at £42, at intervals to suit the client.

I work with adults,   and children, 12 upwards.

I have DBS clearance.

I also see counselling students for £35.
