People seek counselling for a variety of reasons; eg. you may be feeling anxious, depressed, stressed, insecure, or overwhelmed by your emotions. Or you may be looking for someone who will listen and be non judgemental and to whom you can talk in confidence about issues that are bothering you that would be difficult to share with friends or family members.Your feelings may be related to a bereavement or loss, the effects of abuse, a personal or work or family crisis, or a major life change or may be related to something unresolved from the past. You may also be seeking support in setting goals and moving on in a positive way.
Together we can explore your fears and anxieties in a confidential non judgemental setting; look at your patterns of thinking and beliefs, identifying and changing any which may not be helpful; and we can examine any difficulties you may have in forming and keeping relationships. These processes may also involve learning new strategies to cope or relax.
