I help my clients to move forward with the challenges they face and the difficulties holding them back from achieving their goals. I do this by using the latest research and techniques drawn from CBT, Humanistic, Psychodynamic, Solution Focussed and Attachment Theories, incorporating Psychoeducational, Art, Play and Creative techniques to tailor bespoke sessions to meet you or your child’s needs.

My talent is to relate helpful solutions and techniques in an easily understandable and meaningful way. I find this approach reinforces yours and your child’s value, heightens self-esteem, self-reliance and equips you or your child with the necessary skills and knowledge to embrace future life.

I have extensive experience and a proven track record in working with children and young people, and providing effective interventions for both long and short term client need.

Our sessions together will be professional but that doesn’t mean they have to be dull. When appropriate they can be creative, explorative, motivational, enjoyable and fun.

For children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health or emotional difficulties I run regular play and craft workshops based around specific issues such as low self-esteem and anger.

My group workshops are based around solution focussed therapy empowering children and young people to find solutions to their issues, boosting personal autonomy, self-reliance and confidence. As an ethical practitioner I don’t believe you should have to pay for more sessions than you actually need. We will regularly review progress to make sure you are getting the most out of our sessions.

I offer a free initial home visit (within a 10 mile radius of Newport, South Wales) to discuss you or your child’s needs and ways in which I can help. After this I charge £40.00 per session (up to 1 hour)

I offer home visits or appointments can be arranged to visit me in the Duffryn area of Newport just off the M4 junction 28.

Evening and weekend appointments can be arranged subject to availability.
