Hello and welcome. My name is Debbie, I am a fully qualified and experienced counsellor, I also deliver counselling training.

I recognise that making the decision to come for counselling may be a difficult one. I can promise you that I will not judge you and that I have chosen this line of work to help support you, because I want to, because I believe in you. Together we can work out your personal goals and challenges – helping you to better understand yourself and what it is that might be impacting on you now

I will not decide how or what we will talk about – this will be your choice – at all times – I will however help you to focus and prioritise some of the things that are bothering you to enable a more content way of living. I may challenge some of your current ways of thinking, in order to best understand what is happening and why you feel the way you do, but I will always respect and value you and your thoughts, feelings and opinions.

Whether you are feeling anxious or uncertain – or you past is impacting on you; whether you have been diagnosed with a mental health illness or, what ever it is that is bothering you I will never judge your reasons for coming to see me, your counsellor

I have worked with a variety of clients and concerns ranging from issues surrounding the work place to cultural, personal and institutional. I encourage an open honest and respectful environment to facilitate understanding and focus purely on your goals and ambitions.I believe fundamentally that with the correct conditions, environment and relationship, peace and understanding is achievable.

I am offering a home visit service – although this will require an initial assessment for health and safety reasons.

This is only available under certain circumstances and we can discuss this option.
