Hello my name is Karen, I qualified as a counsellor in 2010 and then furthered my interest in trauma by completing a post grad certificate in trauma studies as Nottingham uni. I volunteerd my time for a number of years with both Cruse Bereavement Care and ISAS Incest and sexual abuse survivors.
I am a person centred counsellor, I will treat you as an individual and not judge you, or what you may wish to share with me.
SESSIONS AND FEES
I work with adults and young people 16-18yrs
1st session £25 Your first session gives us a chance to explore what you feel you may wish to work through in counselling and whether you feel counselling is right for you.
It's important for you to find a counsellor you feel comfortable to work with and for you to decide if you feel comfortable working with me. There is no obligation to come to further sessions.
Sessions Thereafter Individuals £40 per session
I offer reduced priced sessions to counselling students on a recognised course £30.
Sessions are 50 minutes
Sessions are normally weekly but can be less frequent to suit you.
I offer short term focused sessions or longer term open ended sessions.
I am a registered member of the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and work within their ethical framework
