I have over 16 years of experience as a counsellor and over 6 years experience as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I qualified as a counsellor in 2001, I achieved BACP accreditation in 2004. I completed a Masters Degree in Counselling Studies at The University of Nottingham in 2007. I went on to complete a Post Graduate Diploma in Cognitive behavioural Psychotherapy in 2010 and I achieved full accreditation with the BABCP in 2011.
I have worked mainly with adults within the NHS for the past 10 years. I currently work within the NHS as a Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist. I am experienced in working with adults as well as young people. I have also worked in voluntary services including The Samaritans, Discern, Mansfield Counselling Services, The Information Shop for Young People and Talkzone.
I provide one to one counselling or cognitive behavioural psychotherapy for people who may be struggling with relationship issues, life changes, stress, depression, behavioral challenges, confidence and low self esteem, anxiety, panic, obsessive compulsive disorder or phobia‘s. People enter therapy to understand and move through emotional obstacles, increase emotional well-being, understand and improve behaviour, challenge negative thinking styles and heal suffering. I will work with you to help you to understand your difficulties and support you to make positive changes in your life.
Wednesday 9am till 8pm
Fridays from 5.30pm till 7.30pm
Saturday from 9am till 4pm
