Hello, my name is Donna Breed.
I am a qualified practitioner and BACP member. My training is BACP accredited to ensure a high standard of safe and ethical practice.
Looking for a counsellor can be daunting and the prospect of sharing difficult experiences and feeling vulnerable can be overwhelming. As part of my intensive training, I undertook three years counselling, and so I understand just how difficult it can be from the client\'s perspective.
As a Humanistic and Integrative counsellor, I hold an optimistic view of people - being all with the potential to grow, change and develop. I work integratively; being that I incorporate knowledge and techniques that compliment the Humanistic philosophy and enhance the quality of the counselling relationship.
I do not want to give advice or tell you what to do. Instead I offer my understanding, acceptance and empathy alongside you in your journey. My role is to help you explore and make sense of your experiences; to be both supportive and at times, challenging - in the safe and confidential space of the counselling room.
The counselling relationship is an active and collaborative process. I aim to promote empowerment, so that you may be self –directive and make your own choices for positive change, to reach your potential and lead a more fulfilling life.
I offer counselling for adults aged 18+.
Training, Qualifications & Experience:
