I have recently gained accredited counsellor status and am starting out on the road to, hopefully, helping people through problem times.
My training has allowed me to understand and help in many areas including stress, depression, addictions, counselling both young and elderly people, partnerships, bereavement and counselling at work. Presently I also work in school where I have worked successfully helping children with many issues.
I am very interested and enthusiastic about Reminiscence Therapy for the elderly. Although, with individuals, I like to use a Person Centred Approach, I feel each case is different and one approach does not suit all. In many cases I find that Cognitive Therapy is more successful.
Qualifications: BA(Hons) Working with Children and Families; Diploma in Counselling Level 4
