Counselling, Psychotherapy, Hypnotherapy
You may have come to counselling because you feel overwhelmed or are struggling to come to terms with loss or change in your life, or because you feel stuck in some way or unable to achieve what you want in your life - and you are aware that you are holding yourself back. You may be carrying a burden from events and people in the past and present. Whatever the issues are, you are ready to look for help.
As a Counsellor and Psychotherapist I work with a variety of issues such as relationship issues, abuse, self harm, addiction, suicidal feelings, grief and bereavement, self esteem, anger, depression and obsessive thoughts and behaviour. I use a variety of approaches depending on the individual client. In our first session I use a person centred approach initially when I am getting to know you, walking with you to explore issues. I then use other different approaches depending on what seems relevant to you - including psychoanalysis, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy and Transactional Analysis.
I use Hypnotherapy to work with issues such as stress and anxiety and stop smoking.
I also work with young mothers and fathers from a Surestart Centre in Northampton with postnatal depression and other issues.
