Description:

Hi, my name is Pam.

I'm a fully qualified counsellor (Level 5 Professional Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling). I have experience working with many issues including anxiety and depression, but through that experience I have noticed that no two issues are the same, regardless of the label given to them. People and their lives are unique, and that is how I will view you; as a unique individual.

My approach is naturally integrative, meaning I use different bits from different theories - whatever I feel is needed at that moment. So in effect, your sessions are tailor made to fit around you and your needs. I am friendly and approachable, and clients say that sessions with me are calming and relaxing.

I won't judge, or preach. Nobody likes to be given advice all the time. Instead I will listen - you will have my complete focus, and we can work together to come up with solutions, answers and change.

I offer adult, child and couples counselling.

I have a special interest in learning difficulties, school issues and autism, and this extends not only to the child, but also to the parents, carers and families. I understand the stress trying to obtain a diagnosis, the mixed emotions once the diagnosis is given, and all the other difficulties surrounding it. I know it can feel like there is nowhere to turn.
