About Maggie Murray Private Practice Reg MBACP

My approach is very Mindful working from a humanistic perspective which focuses on personal growth enabling a person to think about their feelings and take responsibility for their thoughts and actions in the here and now. You don’t have to be feeling unwell to engage in a therapeutic relationship and process. Many clients come as part of their personal development when changes are occurring in their lives.

My passion is focusing on supporting people through family life whether its breaking down barriers, exploring attachments or offering ways to improve communication and relationships. Can I help you or someone within your family?

Finding the right counsellor for you or your child is paramount in your journey of experiencing counselling support. I offer a 10 minute free telephone consultation to discuss this with you to ensure you are finding a counsellor who suits your specific requirements.

The decision to find a counsellor can be overwhelming as there are many counsellors in private practice. If I feel you would benefit from seeing another counsellor I will be happy to refer you to someone else with more knowledge and experience in the specialised field you are looking for. This is me working with integrity.

Establishing a positive and ethical working relationship will be of great importance and I adhere to providing you with a confidential and safe place where you can make time for yourself to find a way forward in improving your current well-being and situation. Your courage to explore who you are and what changes you would like to make is met by my compassion. I adhere to work with you to gain a deeper sense of yourself and fully engage in our therapeutic relationship.

Through my therapeutic relationships I offer short and long term therapy and as we journey through the counselling process together we will explore your thought processes, emotions and patterns of behaviour. How long you continue in therapy is always your choice and we review this throughout the counselling process.

As a counsellor I can not diagnose any mental health conditions but will support you to find the best services available to you.
