About Kay Cerski Counselling and Counselling Supervision Services

Hello and welcome. I am Kay and I am a fully qualified and experienced Counsellor and Counselling Supervisor. I am a registered member of the British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy – BACP. I offer one-to-one individual counselling for adults, young people, student counsellors and couple relationship counselling. I am an integrative counsellor which means that I work with a number of counselling modalities including  Person Centred, Transactional Analysis, Existential, Cognitive Behaviour Therapy and Psychodynamic depending upon what is appropriate and best suits your needs.

I have a postgraduate certificate in counselling supervision. Please see my supervision page for more details.

Sometimes life is challenging and it can help to have someone to talk to. I offer a supportive, confidential and safe space for you to explore and understand any problems or concerns that you may have. My goal is to help you to come up with your own solution and to support you whilst you navigate change and any anxiety that may induce.  The coping strategies and tools that we work with, will empower and help you to move forward towards a brighter future where you feel more in control and positive. Through self exploration, and within a professional, non-judgemental relationship, you can come to understand and accept thoughts, feelings and actions that may be restricting you, causing unhappiness or leaving you feeling unfulfilled and confused. Counselling is the first step towards change.

Couple and relationship counselling can help you to explore difficulties in your relationship, as well as provide insight into patterns and behaviours that may sabotage or make establishing and maintaining relationships more difficult for you. Couple counselling explores the importance of empathy and communication styles in relationships, so that there is a greater understanding of one another’s needs and feelings.

My work experience covers a wide and diverse range of issues. These include relationship issues, depression, panic disorder, common mental health problems, confidence and self esteem difficulties, anxiety, generalised anxiety disorder, sadness, loneliness, loss issues including bereavement, anticipatory grief, miscarriage and termination, empty nest syndrome, redundancy and retirement amongst others (see list below.)

My established private practice is within easy reach of Market Deeping, Bourne, Boston, Stamford, Spalding, Peterborough and the surrounding areas, and has easy access, free off road parking and toilet facilities.

In addition to my counselling practice I lecture and tutor Counselling Skills Level 2 and Counselling Studies Level 3 at City College Peterborough. I am also involved with the charity Don’t Lose Hope in Bourne, providing counselling supervision to trainee counsellors on their placement.

I welcome text, telephone or email enquiries. Please contact me for further details or to make an appointment.
