I provide a caring, safe and comfortable space where individuals can just be themselves without fear of being judged or told what they should do. I help my clients explore other ways of thinking and being, and to consider alternative perspectives on life and relationships, in their search for change, personal growth or relief from suffering.
I use an Integrative approach to counselling and psychotherapy, drawing on theory and research into how the mind works from various schools of thought. This provides a unified yet flexible way of practising, which is not limited to a particular style and remains open to new ideas and evidence. This approach can be adapted to suit the particular needs of each individual.
When we first meet, I believe it is very important for me to understand what a potential client is hoping to achieve. We can then plan how to work together in a way that feels right for them, drawing up an agreement for a specified number of counselling sessions or for open-ended therapy. This will be reviewed as future sessions unfold, as and when either of us feel that would be helpful..
The initial assessment is free of charge. Thereafter, weekly sessions are charged at competitive rates.
