I am a Counsellor who works in a Person-Centred way and I aim to understand your world from your viewpoint rather than my interpretation of it. This allows me to work with you in the best possible way.

I provide you with a safe, confidential, non-judgemental space to work on what you want, when you feel ready.

Counselling can help you get a better understanding of your situation enabling you to move forward.

You can call, text or e-mail and I will get back to you as soon as possible. We will have a quick chat over the phone to find out what you are looking for. We then book an initial appointment that suits you best to cover how I work in more detail, and also for to me to get a better understanding of what you want from counselling. The first appointment is charged at half price for a 50 minute session then going forward charged at the full rate of £40 for individuals and £60 for couples and families.

You are in control of what you work on and I will never make you work on anything you are not ready to. I believe this is the best way to meet your needs.

I currently work for a charity which specialises in working with Survivors of abuse ranging from physical, sexual, domestic, mental and neglect from the past or present. I also work with family members of Survivors of abuse.

In this role I work with Clients who come to get help to work through various and multiple traumas and losses. Counselling can be their first step to dealing with their problems and traumas in a safe environment at their own pace.

Clients may also want to make life changes for the better but are stuck and are unsure how or where to start.

I have been in this role since Jan 2015. I am based in various prisons working with males, females, and young offenders.

In the years prior to this I have worked for other charities specialising in areas such as

  • Mild to moderate mental health issues such as anxiety and stress.
  • Moderate to severe mental health issues including psychosis and hearing voices.
  • Various other charities which specialise in working with Survivors of sexual abuse and violence.

These charities include Open Secret for 2.5 years, Time and Space for 3 years, SAMH for 2 years, Lanarkshire Rape Crisis Centre for over 3 years and a few other smaller charities.

I also worked as a Support Worker within a relief youth care setting and another charity that supports visually impaired Clients.

My fees are £40 per session for individuals and £60 per sessions for couples and families.
