I have worked in Human Resources and organisational development for over 30 years, so personal support and coaching, both organisations and people to cope with and adapt to change have been integral to my career.
More recently, I have retrained and focussed on counselling, concluding that often a more personal, therapeutic, one to one, relationship is essential to help and support people to make the desired changes in their life's.
I am a fully qualified Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist having studied at the Centre of Therapy in Glasgow. I employ an integrative approach incorporating CBT, mindfulness, compassion and solution focussed therapy which allows me to tailor interventions to each individual client.
I am also an accredited member of the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapies and the Mindfulness Association in Scotland. I have experience of working with a wide range of issues including, depression, anxiety, trauma, bereavement, anger management, weight loss, panic and insomnia.
