I am a fully qualified and chartered clinical psychologist, accredited by the British Psychological Society (BPS) and registered with the Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC). I am also qualified to undertake Autism/Aspergers diagnostic assessments.

What I offer?
Psychological assessment of and interventions for autism spectrum disorders (ASD) and Asperger’s syndrome.
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) for common mental health difficulties e.g. Phobias, panic disorder, generalised anxiety disorder, obsessive compulsive disorder, post traumatic stress disorder, depression, low self-esteem.
Integrative psychotherapy drawing from cognitive, schema, psychodynamic, existential, cognitive analytical, systemic and narrative schools of thought.
How it works
If you are interested in an ASD/Aspergers assessment then please do get in touch and I can provide more information about exactly what is involved. Essentially though, this will involve completing various standadised questionnaire measures as well a lengthy (up to 3 hours) interview. Collateral developmental history will also be needed in order to reach a definitive conclusion.

If you are interested in therapy then the first step is to arrange a consultation. During this consultation, you will have the opportunity to discuss what you are struggling with and how therapy might be able to help. This consultation in now way commits you to entering therapy, but is an opportunity to see what type of therapy might be most beneficial, or indeed if therapy is needed at all.

How many sessions?
The length of therapy will take will entirely depend upon what you are coming to therapy with. Sometimes short-term therapy (6-12 sessions) would be recommended. Other times a longer number of sessions might be more appropriate (12-20). Alternatively some people choose not to set a limit. There is no need to make a hasty decision however. All of this would be discussed during the initial consultation process.

Fees
My standard fee structure is £80 for an initial consultation and £60 for each subsequent therapy session.

There is no set fee for ASD assessments as the amount of work involved can vary depending on the complexity of the assessment. As a minimum it would cost between £3-400 for a full assessment and diagnostic report.
