I work from my 'little blue shed' in the bottom of my garden. It's a very private and confidential space, where I can support you in looking at areas of your life which you no longer find easy, or would just like to look at more closely. I offer individual therapy on a short or longer term basis. Once you make contact, we can arrange to have an initial session, where I would take time to find out what you'd like help with, and to discuss with you a way of working that would suit you. I use an integrative approach to counselling, which means our working relationship is very important and we will use this to try to bring about holistic change for you.
Every client is different, so you will bring your own issues, but here are a few of the areas you might like to explore with me:
Relationships; anxiety; depression; bereavement/loss; general feelings of discontentment/frustration; feelings of isolation; illness; anger; sexuality; or personal growth and development; Childhood trauma/abuse
I am registered on the accredited register for the BACP. I adhere to their framework, so I undertake regular supervision, and carry out ongoing CPD (further education).
I hold a Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling, and am currently working towards my Level 6 Diploma in Counselling Supervision.
I have worked for a not-for-profit company in Canterbury since my first placement, and also have an established private practice where I practice at home, and in Canterbury.
You're welcome to message or email. I can't always answer immediately, if in sessions, or out, but I will get back to you as soon as I can.
