I am supportive, respectful and genuine and believe in the quality of the therapeutic relationship between us as being central to our work together. I believe that each individual\'s experience of life and life’s challenges are unique to them and I work respectively with the very individual needs of my clients.
As an Integrative Psychotherapist, I bring together several theoretical approaches, Person Centered, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Transactional Analysis & Psychodynamic.
Psychological therapies generally fall into three categories. These are behavioural therapies, which focus on cognitions and behaviours, psychoanalytical and psychodynamic therapies, which focus on the unconscious relationship patterns that evolved from childhood, and humanistic therapies, which focus on looking at the \'here and now\'.
This Integrative way of working allows me to work flexibly and openly to meet my clients individual needs from counselling.
I have worked with many individuals in counselling with issues such as depression, anxiety, abuse, relationship issues, separation & divorce, domestic abuse, sexual abuse, coping with injury and illness, low self esteem, stress, work related problems, identity and sexuality issues, anger, life crisis, post natal depression, bereavement and other forms of loss.
I offer one to one individual counselling and also offer couples counselling, family counselling and specialise in counselling children aged 4-11.
Asking for support can sometimes be difficult, but I believe that we can all learn and grow from whatever challenges we may face in our lives.
