My Approach
My practice is based on the idea that each person is an individual and comes with their unique experiences and histories and so one type of therapy doesn't fit everyone.

I have had training and experience in various modalities which enables me to use variety of approaches. I use the person-centred approach as a basis of my practice, integrating other approaches such as Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT), Psychodynamic and Transactional Analysis. I also invite clients to work creatively to aid deeper exploration of their issues.

This means I can adapt my approach so that it is highly personalised and tailored to client’s individual needs, placing them at the heart of the work that is done together, ensuring that it allows for flexibility in the manner we work together and for things to progress at a pace that is right and appropriate for them.

I am here to support you. Whatever is troubling you, let's work together gently to help you heal and move forward. Being fully present, listening deeply and being respectful, I will help you to explore your thoughts and feelings that may be contributing to areas of difficulty in your life.

My commitment to you is to provide support by helping you to develop your awareness and gain insight so you are better able to make sense of your experiences, empowering you to bring about effective change that you feel is right for you. I will aid in uncovering your strengths and assist you in learning new skills that will allow you to deal with your struggles and cope better with the challenges that arise in life.

My way of working is gentle but sufficiently challenging to help you grow. I work at a pace that suits you, and I offer a space to safely contain what you bring. I will ensure that you feel sessions maintain direction and focus, empowering you to review your progress regularly, always holding your autonomy in mind. As your counsellor, I will strive to create a relationship based on equality rather than being ‘in charge’.

Taking the first step in seeking therapy can be difficult so to help you, I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation to allow you an opportunity to get a sense of me, ask any questions you may have and for us to explore how best I can support you. If you wish to continue, we can discuss this too. There will be no obligation for you to enter into therapy and you will not be pressured. The most important thing is that you feel comfortable with the therapist you choose to work with. To book, feel free to either call or text or even drop an email to me and we can arrange a time that suits us both for the initial consultation.

Sessions cost is £55 for weekdays online and Walk and Talk sessions and £70 for Saturday online or in person sessions held in my practice room in Rickmansworth.
