Using my skills as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, I can help empower you to feel happier, find better options and move forward in a constructive way.
Counselling can be a very effective way of helping deal with problems such as: stress at work or at home with family life, relationship difficulties, sudden change, crisis, depression, anxiety, bereavement, etc. Please visit my website by clicking on the link to the right.
MY TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE
I was trained as a Humanistic Integrative counsellor, which draws on Gestalt, Transactional Analysis and Person Centred theory. I strongly believe in the Humanistic Integrative approach to counselling and its effectiveness and I particularly like the way it places emphasis on the quality of the client – counsellor relationship.
I see private clients at my home in Ringwood. As well as my private work, I also see students of all ages within a local university's agency environment. I don't think of myself as particularly specialising in given areas, as my work in both agencies to date, has been of a fairly general nature.
In my current agency work for instance, I am required to work with whoever is in front of me – whether they have relationship issues, an eating disorder, anxiety, depression, are self-harming, suffering loss, being bullied, have been sexually abused, are feeling generally stressed and much, much more.
I am a member of the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists and I adhere to their Ethical Framework.
I always offer my first session half-price and without any obligation, so that clients can meet me for the first time and look at how we work together.
My fee is £30 for a 50 minute counselling session, with concessions available, depending on income and circumstances and this is completely negotiable at the first session. I provide a discount to all students.
