My name is Sue and I am a registered and fully qualified BA (Hons) Person-Centred Counsellor and Psychotherapist. It is my aim to understand what life is like from your point of view rather than to offer you pre-canned solutions to your problems. I tailor the approach to your specific needs and place you at the centre of your own counselling experience. I will take an active part by attentively listening as we explore the challenges that you are facing and the changes that you wish to make This exploration creates understanding and can lead to balance, enthusiasm and renewed energy for life
I have personal experience of being a client. Counselling helped me to work through my diagnosis of Post-natal Depression and I developed the confidence to be with my baby and to bond with him. This positive experience motivated me to train as a counsellor, and gave me the inspiration to help others, like you who might be in emotional pain. I believe I am living proof that counselling works because it worked for me.
I offer individual, person-centred counselling to clients dealing with relationship difficulties, stress and anxiety, loss and bereavement, rape, sexual abuse, post-traumatic stress disorder, depression, self-esteem issues, anger, physical and emotional health issues and other challenges.
