A successful therapeutic relationship is established with skill and experience. Empathy, understanding and acceptance are the catalyst for change and personal growth.
Who I Am
I am a fully qualified, highly skilled and experienced accredited senior counsellor, psyuchotherapist and counselling supervisor with over 12-years experience of working with clients from across a broad spectrum covering a wide range of issues such as, relationship problems, depression, stress, anxiety, bereavement, abuse and many other personal matters.
I have worked within the Third Sector for many years, the Primary Care Trust (NHS) Connexions, schools, GP's surgeries and in private practice.
The training and experience I have gained over the years has given me knowledge and understanding of an integrated range of theories, techniques and applications such as C.B.T. and Gestalt with the Person Centered model underpinning my work.
How I Can Help
My approach is to build a therapeutic relationship and to offer you a confidential, warm and safe environment where you are able to talk openly and freely.
Every individual knows what is best or good for them, it is inherent in all of us. Sometimes, we lose sight of this and begin to think and feel in a negative or irrational way.
We lose our ability to resolve our own, personal issues and cease to live in a positive and productive way. We begin to make poor choices and decisions. We can feel depressed, anxious, trapped, confused, isolated, empty and lost.
My aim within the therapeutic relationship is to help you increase your potential, make better choices and find meaning and purpose within your life. You can learn how to manage negative and distressful thought patterns and behaviors.
My role is to provide a non-judgmental, pressure free space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings and begin to make sense of your world. You can develop a clearer understanding of who you are and find a resolve to your internal conflict and live a more productive life once again.
I provide professional, confidential support and I am caring and conscientious and I have conviction in what I do.
I work from home so that you have the comfort of a confidential, pressure free space to explore your personal issues.
I provide a service that will fit your needs, it will enable you to be able to talk openly without feeling under pressure.
I know how difficult it can be to talk sometimes, you may be surprised at how relaxed you feel when you begin to tell your story.
I'm here to help you explore, understand and manage your difficulties so that you can, once again, begin to live a more productive life.
The issues covered in my work range from;
•Abuse; Emotional; Physical; Sexual.
•Bereavement, Grief and Loss.
•Low Self-esteem, Confidence.
•Post Traumatic Stress.
