Talking to a therapist can help by providing a safe and confidential space where you can be heard, accepted and understood.
I’m an experienced psychotherapist with an interest in supporting people to achieve happier, more fulfilling lives. I can help you explore your experiences, process your thoughts and emotions and find a way forward. My aim is for you to end therapy feeling more resourceful.
I have a Level 7 Diploma in Advanced Transactional Analysis Psychotherapy. I worked in Human Resources for over 20 years and have a special interest in workplace wellbeing. I started my private therapy practice in Chorlton in 2016. I offer individual psychotherapy face to face, online and by telephone.
Clients I work with are generally successful professionals, academics and creatives, who have hit a setback or series of setbacks in their lives....
Sometimes they have been impacted by an incident at work, the loss of a job or relationship, sometimes a bereavement or serious illness. They may be grieving, feeling sad or depressed and find they are struggling to bounce back.
Sometimes recent incidents have caused thoughts and feelings of past traumas to resurface. This may be experienced as anxiety, panic attacks, difficulty sleeping and concentrating and a loss of focus.
Many of the people I work with are perfectionists. They have a desire to get things right and are often reluctant to ask for help. This can be very isolating and they may be frustrated with themselves for feeling this way.
They are often helpers, problem solvers, used to being strong for everyone else in their lives. Getting on with things and losing sight of their own wants and needs. They may feel abandoned, overwhelmed, burned out, unappreciated and alone with their problems.
If any of this sounds familiar and you would like to find out how therapy with me might help you, please contact me to arrange a free consultation.
I offer a free 30 minute telephone consultation. This is an opportunity for us to talk more about your reasons for starting therapy and for you to tell me a bit about yourself. We will explore what you might want to get from therapy, answer any questions you have and consider how we might work together.
If we decide to go ahead sessions are usually once a week for 50 minutes.
