There are periods in life when we can all experience anxiety, depression, anger and loss. These feelings can be overwhelming and it is at these times that it can be beneficial to have the input and support of someone who is impartial and non-judgemental, someone who is not family or friend, yet has your best interests at heart.
My name is Jean. I have been working as a counsellor for several years. I practice in a Secondary School, at a local GP’s surgery and in private practice. In this time, I have had the privilege to support people of different ages, backgrounds, and faiths.
As an Integrative counsellor, I think it is very important that each client I support should feel secure and free to express themselves in a way that suits their own unique personality and communication style. It is because of this that I offer a range of therapeutic models and techniques; from the traditional to the more creative, that are tailored to each specific need. In this atmosphere, the client is given opportunities to find their own solutions, set goals and regain an increased sense of self-worth, self-confidence and inner strength.
Because I appreciate how daunting it can be to meet a stranger and share your deepest thoughts, I offer an introductory session at half price, as I feel this gives the client an opportunity to experience a positive start to the therapeutic relationship.
