Cristina Durigon Counselling

My name is Cristina Durigon and I am a Counsellor and Psychotherapist working in Pimlico.

I am a qualified and experienced Integrative Counsellor and Psychotherapist. I hold a Diploma in Counselling, an Advanced Diploma and a MA in Integrative Psychotherapy awarded by the Minster Centre in conjunction with the Middlesex University. I have completed my qualifications over a period of six years of training.

I am a registered member of the UKCP, the UK Council for Psychotherapy as well as the BACP (MBACP), the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy, and, as such, I abide to the Code of Ethics and procedures of both organizations.

Being an Integrative psychotherapist means that I have combined a number of theories in my style to better suit my client’s needs. My main approaches include Relational Psychoanalysis and the Humanistic approaches. I also consider the whole person – mind, body and emotions – working in a way to integrate and balance these elements.
If working with me, we will take in consideration your past relationships and experiences and think how these are informing your life today. However, I also work focusing in the present, and my aim will be to help you to integrate your past with your present, and consider changes within that context. In addition to that, I will also pay attention to body movements, emotions, actions and what happens in \\\”the here and now\\\” counselling sessions and how these inform your process.
My aim is to provide you a safe, warm, supportive and confidential context where you can express yourself and your difficulties. I will offer you an opportunity to consider, together, potential changes that may bring relief for your distress. I will be alongside you, in a journey, helping you to have a deeper understanding and acceptance of yourself.
My services include short and long term psychotherapeutic work.

My fees for are £80 per session. Fees apply for initial consultations. All sessions last for 50 minutes and we would meet once a week.
