I am a member of BACP and UKCP registered counsellor and psychotherapist, completing my five years training to diploma level in 2007 and practicing as a therapist since 2004. I am an integrative therapist which means that I have knowledge and experience of a broad range of theoretical perspectives. The overall approach in which I was trained is transpersonal which simply means that all aspects of ourselves are included mind, body, spirit and soul.

By exploring and taking an honest look at ourselves with renewed curiosity and without judgement we can begin to see the bigger picture of our lives unfolding and become more open and responsive to our own inner wisdom. We become more attuned to the impact our current way of living is having on our well-being which in turn can give us choices that perhaps we did not know we could make. This fresh perspective may assist us in moving beyond continuing to repeat old patterns that have kept us stuck and discover new purpose and meaning in our lives.

Adopting this more expansive approach can give us a lot of flexibility in how we work together. We might start by exploring the particular issue that brings us into meeting together and try to make more sense of what might be going on. We might discover links with events and relationships experienced in the past that can help us gain insight and understanding into what is happening currently and this can often be enhanced by opening up to our own inner guidance, intuition and wisdom that we may not have tuned into previously.
