About The Mind Guide, UKCP registered

Thoughts are an important part of our inner wisdom. And they are powerful. A thought held long enough and repeated often enough becomes a belief. A belief then becomes our biology. Beliefs are energetic forces that create the physical basis for our individual lives and our health” Dr Christiane Northrup.

I use an approach that combines verbal and physical practice for therapeutic change. It integrates not only the mind and body but also the energy system and spirit. The basic principle is to address emotional experience patterned into the body’s energy system.

Our bodies are composed of energy pathways and energy centres that are in a dynamic interplay with our cells, organs, moods, and thoughts. When we are in dialogue with these energies we can alter our health, emotions, and states of mind e.g, reactions to fear & stress vibrate more densely than gratitude and love.

Disturbances in the energy field cut us off from higher level functions. Unconscious blocks and beliefs may not make complete sense to the conscious mind but they often have a huge impact on our lives. When these beliefs have been fixed for a length of time, they become entrenched by further repetitions of the same thought; they become our truth.

Energy Psychology can rapidly resolve limited thinking and beliefs, gently and swiftly releasing traumatic events that are frozen in the body-mind system. Working directly with energy and consciousness provides us with a powerful method for change, improving health, development of higher level functions such as intuition, creativity and insight and achievement of goals. Some of the practices are simple enough to be learnt to use at home in between sessions to reinforce development.

Advanced Integrative Therapy (AIT), Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) and Psychoanalytic Energy Psychology (PEP) are amongst the most widely known energy therapies and are powerful tools for both clinical treatment and self-help.
