About Andrew White- Psychological Therapy
Hello, I am a practising NHS Clinical Psychologist, currently accepting new private clients who are interested in learning more about their minds and their behaviour, to make changes in their life. I can help with a variety of different mental health problems (anxiety, depression, OCD, panic attacks, personality difficulties, addictions, eating issues, trauma), or work with people with no diagnosed psychopathology who are interested in self-improvement.
Approaches which I have experience with include (in no particular order): Object Relations Theory, Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT), Mentalisation Based Treatment (MBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Schema Focussed Thearpy (SFT), and Dynamic Interpersonal Therapy (DIT).
I tend to work eclectically, drawing on various techniques from the approaches above in a manner which best suits the individual client. I also have a personal and professional interest in mindfulness, and philosophical approaches to living a good life, such as Buddhist ethics and Classical Stoicism.
