We frequently offer promotional packages to help some of our clients/patients. We accept many forms of payment. Please contact our office for details.
2) ACCESSIBILITY
Our appointments are scheduled around your availability, presenting problems and the counsellor with the most expertise in the area of your presentation. We have morning, afternoon and evening slots (please contact office for details). We endeavour to offer initial appointment to all our clients/patients within five working days.
3) QUALITY
Everything we do centres on providing services of the highest level of quality. We continue to evaluate our work, achievements and aspirations to make sure that you receive current and reliable services.
4) EFFICIENCY

*Fees are paid on or before the counselling session. You can pay by cheque, bank transfer, cash or by debit
*The extra fees for health insurance is due to extra admin time required to process the invoice (Invoice sent to your health insurer).

Duration of Therapy
1) Psychological assessment …………………………………….. 90 minutes

2) Individual therapy sessions ………………………………….. 50 minutes/week (extra session within the week can be arranged). For therapy through Insurance, the extra sessions will be subject to approval from your insurers 
3) Couple/family therapy sessions …………………………… 80 minutes/week

 The sessions are reviewed every six weeks to enable us to evaluate
1) your therapeutic progress,
2) the possible areas for more work
3) possible ending the sessions if that is appropriate.

Duration of supervision session
Individual supervision session …………………………………..  1.5 hrs/month
Group supervision session …………………………………………  2.5 hrs/month

1. Mental health problems:
Mental health challenges are not exclusive problem of certain individuals. In course of everyone’s life journey, there are situations and circumstances that can seriously threaten or affect people’s mental health. It is important that the stigma around mental health problems is gradually but steadily broken to enable sufferers seek the necessary support and help they need. These include:

In our therapeutic work with men and women with sexual and reproductive issues, we sometimes collaborate with medical teams  (NHS and private) to develop our care plan for our clients. We offer therapy to clients with the following issues:

ABOUT ME

My name is Dr Oby. I am a Medical Doctor, Consultant Counselling Psychologist, Counselling Supervisor and a University Lecturer. I have over eighteen years of working experience in the counselling arena. I have worked in the National Health Service (NHS) and Private Sector for many years. I am a Chartered member of the British Psychological Society (BPS), Member of the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC), member of British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), and British Fertility Society (BFS), and a Life Member of Omicron Psi Honour Society (USA).

In FCC, I am responsible for

  1. Research & Programme Development 
  2. Therapists’ clinical supervision. 
  3. Counselling workshops, Seminars, and CPD training– which are open to external trainee and qualified counsellors, psychotherapists, supervisors and managers.

My clinical work includes general counselling but my areas of therapeutic speciality are:

  1.  Sexual and Reproductive health issues (e.g. infertility/sub-fertility, sexual dysfunctions, miscarriage and stillbirth, post-natal depression, unplanned pregnancy etc)
  2. Relationship Issues (e.g. marriage conflicts, divorce related problems, step-family issues)
  3. Mental health issues (e.g. Bipolar, Obsessive Compulsive Disorders (OCD), Psychosis, Personality Disorders, Depression and Anxiety Disorders, Post Traumatic Stress Disorders [PTSD], Anger management problems)
  4. Occupational health issues (e.g. work-related stress and anxiety, work-life balance issues, bullying in the workplace

I use the following approaches to help her clients/patients:

  1. Integrative Therapy: combining two or more of these approaches depending on client’s needs (CBT, Psychodynamic, Person Centre Therapy, Family therapy, Existential Therapy)
  2. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
  3. Acceptance and Commitment therapy (ACT)
